How it works

One store. Several vendors. Zero mystery.

We're the US authorized channel for a curated set of international security-hardware vendors. Each partnership works a little differently behind the scenes — this page explains exactly what happens when you buy, so nothing about the process is a surprise.

The three ways to buy

Add to cart — we fulfill it

Card checkout on our site (Stripe — cards never touch our servers). Depending on the product, your order ships from our US warehouse, is placed with the vendor on your behalf (drop-ship), or joins an event batch. The cart tags every line so you always know which. USD pricing, US company, PO/net-30 available.

Buy direct — the vendor fulfills it

Some products (or regions) complete on the vendor's own store — the button takes you there through our partner link at the same price (it supports us at no cost to you). You get the vendor's full catalog, custom configurations, and their payment options (some accept crypto).

Buy on Amazon — curated, not stocked

For commodity categories (Faraday, mesh, network, tamper, Pi builds) we curate the right gear and honest buying guide, then send you to Amazon at Amazon's price with Prime shipping and returns. We're the guide, not the seller — a referral commission at no cost to you. More below.

How each vendor works

Nitrokey authorized reseller · Berlin

US sales run as event batches — one bulk order timed to a conference (currently the Vegas batch: reserve and pay by the cutoff, then pick up at the event or have it shipped in the US). Outside the US, or between batches, the buy button routes you to nitrokey.com. Prices are derived from Nitrokey's live EU retail with our US-convenience margin; when Nitrokey cuts a price, we pass it through as a sale.

NovaCustom drop-ship partner + affiliate · Netherlands

Buy on our site and we place your order with NovaCustom within one business day — they build and ship direct to you, free worldwide (US orders go domestic USPS from their US warehouse; no customs). Pricing is exactly NovaCustom's own US-store price — which runs ~13% below the EU price, so US buyers genuinely pay less. Want a custom configuration? The buy-direct button gets you their full configurator at the same price.

Ledger authorized retailer · Paris

Hardware wallets are the one product you should never buy from a marketplace reseller — tampered units drain accounts. We sell genuine, factory-sealed units at Ledger's own MSRP. The buy button routes direct to shop.ledger.com through our authorized link (best for us and for you); a "Prefer Prime? Also on Amazon" secondary links only the Ledger Official Amazon seller — never third-party or used listings. We're stocking our US warehouse (sealed units, per-unit chain-of-custody logging), and product pages flip to on-site checkout automatically the moment stock is live. The notify-me form tells us which models to stock first.

Dexter's Best Safe & Vault regional partner · New England

Physical security is quote-based, not cart-based: the curated collection and calculator recommend specific UL-rated models from Liberty Safe, AMSEC, Fort Knox, Gardall, Rhino Metals, Browning and more (full lineup on our brands page), fulfilled with white-glove delivery + installation across New England.

Amazon-sourced categories curated affiliate · we don't hold or ship these

Some categories — Faraday bags, mesh radios, network appliances, tamper-evident gear, and Raspberry Pi builds — are commodity hardware that already lives on Amazon at a fair price. Rather than mark it up or warehouse it, we do the curation and the honest buying guide (which model, what to avoid, how it maps to your compliance frameworks) and the buy button takes you to Amazon. We're not the seller here — Amazon is; we earn a small referral commission at no extra cost to you, and you get Amazon's price, Prime shipping, and returns. It's the fastest path to the right gear, and it lets us carry far more than we could ever stock. Multi-part builds even offer a one-click "add the whole kit to your Amazon cart" button. (Disclosure: as an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases.)

What the stock states mean

In stock — ships from our US warehouse

We physically hold it. Picked, packed and shipped domestically with per-unit chain-of-custody logging (every touch recorded from receiving to your door), tracking emailed on handoff.

Ships direct from the vendor

Drop-ship: you pay us, we place the order with the vendor same/next business day, they ship to you, we email tracking. Your warranty is the full manufacturer warranty either way.

Event batch

A one-time bulk order timed to a conference. Reserve and pay by the cutoff shown on the countdown; pick up in person or ship in the US from the same batch.

Notify me

Not in our warehouse yet — buy direct today via our link, or join the notify list. The list isn't a formality: it literally sizes our next wholesale order, and you get first email when stock lands.

Where this is going — chain-of-custody 3PL Q3 2026

The warehouse behind our "in stock" items is becoming its own platform: a chain-of-custody 3PL — every unit logged from receiving to your door (who touched it, when, sealed-state verification) — purpose-built for security hardware, where "was this tampered with in the warehouse?" is a question buyers rightly ask.

We're onboarding founding partners now for a Boston / Texas warehouse configuration launching Q3 2026 — designed for international security-tech companies entering the US market: US warehousing, custody-verified fulfillment, configuration building, and the compliance story their US buyers need, without setting up a US entity first. It pairs with our market-entry program and lives at custody.cisomarketplace.services.

Common questions

Why do some products check out here and others send me to the vendor?

Each partnership has different terms — some vendors drop-ship for us, some sell to us wholesale (so on-site checkout needs our stock on hand), and some regions are served best by the vendor directly. The cart sorts every item automatically: a "Pay now" group we fulfill, and per-brand "buy direct" links for the rest. You never have to figure it out yourself.

Is buying direct through your link worse for me somehow?

No — same price, same genuine hardware, same manufacturer warranty. The vendor pays us a commission for the referral; you pay nothing extra. We show the direct button openly, right next to our own cart button, because the honest comparison is the point.

How do I know your prices are fair?

NovaCustom and Ledger are sold at exact parity with the vendor's own price — verified automatically every week against their stores. Nitrokey pricing is derived from their live EU retail (VAT removed, converted, plus a US-fulfillment margin), and when they cut a price we pass it through as a sale. Strike-through prices are always the vendor's real list price, never an invented anchor.

Where does my order ship from, and who handles customs?

Warehouse items ship domestically from the USA. NovaCustom drop-ships US orders from their US warehouse (USPS) and global orders from the Netherlands (UPS, duties covered). Ledger ships from their own fulfillment until our stock lands. Either way: no surprise customs bills.

What's the compliance mapping on every product page?

Every product is mapped to the controls it satisfies across NIST 800-53, NIST CSF, ISO 27001, SOC 2, NIS2, CMMC, and CIS v8 — so a security team can justify the purchase against audit requirements. Browse the full compliance library or start from the stack builder.

Do you take purchase orders?

Yes — PO/net-30 for approved organizations, W-9 on file. There's a PO option at checkout, or email sales@securitygadgets.shop. Buying for a team? The enterprise page has a fleet calculator, multi-address rollout, and volume quotes.
