Coreboot plus Heads measures the boot chain; the bundled Nitrokey blinks green only if firmware, TPM and OS are intact, exposing evil-maid tampering.
Intel ME deactivated
The Intel Management Engine, a proprietary master controller with broad system access, is disabled to shrink the closed-firmware attack surface.
Keys under your control
Cryptographic keys are generated on-device at install and never stored by the vendor; unlike Secure Boot, they stay fully under your control.

Endpoint software and firmware integrity
Measured boot chain verified on every power-on. Any firmware modification — supply chain implant, evil-maid attack, or malicious update — fails attestation before the OS loads.
Workstation security isolation
VM-level compartmentalization means a compromise of one domain (e.g. browser) cannot reach another (e.g. keys, vault). No other consumer laptop provides this by default.
Data protection at rest
Hardware-encrypted storage and self-hosted file servers replace cloud storage with hardware you control. Encryption keys never leave your environment.
