Encryption the host never sees
AES-256 in CBC mode is performed on the device itself, so the encryption key is never exposed to the computer — plugging into an untrusted machine does not surrender the key.
Drive and security key in one
Also a full OpenPGP Card 3.3 smart card with 3 key slots, HOTP/TOTP, and a 16-entry password manager, so it replaces a separate key.

Returns & RMA
30-day return window for unopened units. Defective units handled under Nitrokey's 2-year warranty — we manage the US-side RMA so you don't ship to Berlin.
